Jorge is Founder and CEO of SOPRIS TECHNOLOGIES and has led numerous global operations teams through a passion to improve business operations to embrace the next wave of innovation. After a successful 29-year career, which started at the world’s renown center of innovation – Bell Laboratories, completed with retirement from Alcatel-Lucent, Jorge founded SOPRIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC., a solutions and services company created to address end-to-end business challenges of technology-driven organizations across the Americas.

His career spanned the areas of R&D Development, Product Line Management, Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, Customer/ Market Management, Corporate Strategy & Corporate Development, Supply Chain, and more. Jorge served as COO for a Global Services organization with 35,000 employees and a 2 Billion Euro annual budget.

Jorge is a graduate of Olive-Harvey College (AAS), Illinois Institute of Technology (BSEE), Purdue University (MSEE), Northwestern University (Kellogg’s Executive MBA Program), and attended Thunderbird University’s Global Telecommunications Management Program. Through the various roles held across the years, Jorge has consistently demonstrated his ability to define a vision, evaluate strategic options, get buy-in, create and communicate execution plans, and create / engage / develop teams to achieving the strategy.
